PESCO Energy and Resources office transformation
-
Task
Our goal was to equip the directors’ offices and VIP meeting rooms with an automation system that allows intuitive control of temperature, lighting, and roller blinds. We aimed to provide local control through touch panels, wall switches, and remote control via the company management’s mobile devices.
-
Solution
We chose the open KNX automation protocol to address this challenge. This choice allowed us to combine equipment from various manufacturers in a single project and select end devices that seamlessly blended into the premium office interior. We automated the heating and air conditioning systems, requiring users only to set their desired room temperature. To enhance energy efficiency, we eliminated the parallel operation of heating and air conditioning systems.
We used the DALI protocol for lighting control, enabling smooth switching on and off of lights and adjustable brightness in VIP areas. The office’s natural lighting is regulated by motorized roller blinds integrated into the overall control system. We customized and branded the graphical control interface for the client, displaying
real-time information on temperature, air quality (CO2 content and humidity), and the status of all engineering systems on touch panels. -
Result
Following the project handover and several iterations of equipment operation algorithm
fine-tuning , the client received a flexible control system that automatically maintains the set comfort level, regardless of weather conditions or time of year.
